Where To Register To Vote and Where To Vote in Puerto Rico

When you register to vote,your voter registrations are linked to your residential address.When registered voters move, they are supposed to update their registration records with election officials before voting.

You can vote ONLY at your designated polling place. Make sure your are at the correct polling site and Election District for your address.

Under federal law, if you move within 30 days of a presidential election, you are allowed to vote for President and Vice President in your former state of residence, either in person or by absentee ballot.

Poll Hours: 8:00 AM-3:00 PM

The polling places shall remain open until three (3:00) o'clock in the afternoon, and will be closed at that time. Voting, however, will continue uninterruptedly until all the electors who have their number in line to vote, or are inside the polling place at the time it is closed, have voted.
It shall be the duty of every employer of a continuous operation firm in operation on the day a referendum, plebiscite or election is held, to take positive action to establish shifts that will allow the employees to go to the polls between eight (8:00) o'clock in the morning and three (3:00) o'clock in the afternoon.

Am I eligible To Vote in Puerto Rico?

Most States require citizens to be registered in order to vote. Make sure you understand the voter registration requirements of your State of residence. Check if you are eligible to vote in Puerto Rico

Can I Register At The Polls On Election Day?

NO: Puerto Rico does not provide Same Day Voter Registration. You must register to vote by the voter registration deadline in order to vote in an election. If you miss the voter registration deadline for an election you should contact your local election office.
